What about one 3-day weekend a month?

There’s a movement afoot in some quarters advocating for a 4-day workweek, but to a lot of leaders, that’s a far-fetched idea. In the words of someone I talked to about this recently:

“It’s just taking Casual Friday a bit too far.”

On the other hand, some companies are getting experimental with the idea. Highspot employees now look forward to a 3-day weekend every month. This collective, paid day off essentially gives employees 12 more days of mandatory PTO a year — talk about a perk!

As the company’s CPO, Amy Freeland Johnson, reports, this shift showed immediate results in analytics of engagement, happiness, and commitment to the company.

They call ‘em “Recharge Fridays.” I call ‘em “smart HR.”

Would your company ever consider something like this?
